Our story
One house at a time.
Avian Designs is a small, part-time studio in Connecticut. Every house is built, finished, named and numbered by hand, in small batches.
The roof is the artwork.
Each roof is a single forward-sloping panel, finished as an individual epoxy-resin artwork. Nothing is printed or repeated; once a roof is done, it exists only on that one house.
Built to live outdoors.
The core houses are made from AZEK cellular PVC, chosen because it resists rot. Some pieces are stained or distressed wood instead, and each house page says what that house is made of once it’s confirmed.
Every house gets a name.
Because no two roofs are alike, each house is named, given a short story, and numbered for good — like No. MM-001, Autumn Dusk. The number never changes, even after the house sells.

The collections follow seven New England landscapes. The region sets the mood; the roof tells its own story.
